DEATH NOTE

Death Note becoming one of my hyperfixations came out of nowhere. I'd heard about it being a good anime, so on one night when I had to work on my coursework, I put on death note. I then proceeded to watch half the series over the course of 5 or 6 hours. I finished the show over around another 3 days. Over the course of the next few months, I got Death Note posters, the first volumes of the Death Note manga and I started listening to the Death Note Musical soundtrack. My love for this damn anime has only grown over time.

On this part of the site you can find my thoughts on the anime, the characters, the musical, the manga and how the different mediums differ, what I enjoy about all of them and the story itself... yeah I have a lot to say about this.

Starting Thoughts Here (might move them to their own sub-page later)

As of writing this, I am 11/12 episodes in to my rewatch of Death Note (Misa was revealed to be the second Kira at the end of this episode, it was the one at the TV Station). I think the pacing of Death Note is done very well, that's something I hadn't really noticed before but it feels quite natural. Also, when I say I love the characters, I mean most of the characters, not just Light and L. They are an amazing pair and the focus of the show but I also really love Misa, Soichiro Yagami, Aizawa, Matsuda and Mello. I'm not as big of a fan of Near, but that might just be my L bias speaking, we'll see when I get to that part of the show. In fact there are a lot of characters that I should give some more thought to, and when I do you'll likely see it on this page.
